The second annual Asian Animation Summit, which is designed to showcase Asia’s strongest animated projects looking for investors and partners, will take place in Phuket, Thailand from December 9 to 11, 2013.

An initiative of Australia’s ABC TV, Screen Australia, Korea’s KOCCA and Malaysia’s MDeC and produced and owned by Kidscreen, the event once again follows Asia Television Forum in Singapore. Designed to stimulate co-production and co-financing, AAS 2013 will feature 24 projects from Asian territories seeking financing and market feedback. All projects will be carefully selected by the organizing partners based on global-market potential and quality.

This year’s event has been expanded to three days to allow for more screening opportunities and regional funding briefings on setting up co-productions in Australia, Malaysia and Korea.
