UK broadcaster CBBC grenlit two commissions from Zodiak Media’s Lucky Day Productions: the all-new Disaster Chefs, about parents who are chaotic in the kitchen, as well as a celebrity version of Driving Academy.

The 10 x half-hour episodes of Disaster Chefs will feature a celebrity cook coming to the rescue of a child who has reported his or her parent for being a terrible cook.  Host Stefan Gates (Gastronauts, Incredible Edibles) will offer food and shopping tips and teach basic cooking skills before challenging parents to cook a two-course meal for three judges.

Disaster Chefs will be produced by Fiona White and executive produced by Damon Pattison for Lucky Day and Hugh Lawton for CBBC and is set to bow this summer.

The new season of Driving Academy, meanwhile, will feature celebrities. The series first aired on CBBC in late 2011 and followed viewers and their careless parents as they carried out an intensive course of master classes aimed at making them safer road users.  Celebrity Driving Academy will debut later this year.
