Disney Junior’s growing Appisode offering, which combines interactive games with select channel shows, is extending to little hands across the UK.

The Disney Junior Appisodes app for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch is designed to allow kids ages two to seven to touch, tap, swipe, tilt, shake and talk their way through various activities embedded into a selection of Disney Junior shows. The first Disney Junior Appisode, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, is now free to download in the App Store, with the Mickey and Donald Have a Farm Appisode and Jake and the Never Land Pirates Appisode available for US$4.50.

The offering comes on the heels of Disney Junior UK launching in HD last month. The two-year-old channel has become the UK’s number-one pay TV preschool destination, with ratings up 20% year on year among kids ages four to nine.  Future Appisodes are planned for Doc McStuffins and Sofia the First.
