The five-month-old Polaroid kids tablet will play home to a new free app that provides access to Toon Goggles’ kid-safe online programming.

Toon Goggles, which has been busy boosting its content reach this year, has partnered with Southern Telecom to bring a selection of animated and live-action children’s content to the seven-inch Polaroid device that made its debut in January at CES.

The deal also sees Southern Telecom adding Toon Boom Animation’s content creation app Boom Goggles to its tablets.  The Boom Goggles app, developed jointly by Toon Goggles and Corus Entertainment-owned Toon Boom, lets kids create their own stop-motion cartoons, and Polaroid Kids Tablet users will be able to export their creations to the Toon Goggles platform.

Both apps are available for free in the Google Play Store.

Last year, Toon Goggles struck agreements to have its app preloaded on the new WiFi-enabled MEEP! kids tablet and on the Android-powered Kurio7 tablet, among others.
