Canadian kids and family indie producer Amberwood Entertainment and animation company Big Jump Productions are teaming up on the animated preschool series, Shutterbugs.

The series created by Big Jump is its first proprietary project. Kris Pearns (Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2) provided conceptual designs, while Psychology Foundation of Canada program manager Barbara MacKay Ward developed the educational curriculum. Writer Brad Birch is on board as executive story editor.

In line with most preschool series, Shutterbugs enables kids to discover their world through comedy and the exercise of their developing reasoning skills.

Amberwood and Big Jump previously collaborated on The Secret World of Benjamin Bear, which airs on Family and Disney Junior in Canada, and has been licensed in more than 120 territories internationally.

Amberwood is the prodco behind animated series Rob the Robot, co-produced with Singapore’s ONE Animation.
