While it’s been a busy spring for Sesame Workshop, which recently picked up six Daytime Emmy Awards and surpassed one billion YouTube views for Sesame Street, the latest news from the non-profit organization is that it’s cutting its work force by 30 employees.

The layoffs come as Sesame Workshop looks to re-align its resources.

“Sesame Workshop…is constantly assessing where we must invest for the future in response to today’s rapidly changing digital environment. After careful review, we have concluded that we must reduce our workforce by approximately 10%,” the company confirmed in a statement.

Similar staff reductions occurred at the company around this time last year.

Now in its 43rd season, the Workshop’s flagship series Sesame Street currently airs in more than 150 countries and has significantly ramped up its digital presence through apps, eBooks and YouTube partnerships.
