Amazon Studios, which has received more than 15,000 movie scripts and 3,600 series pilot scripts in its three-year existence, will now accept short concept videos that offer ideas for future feature film development.

Filmmakers can submit videos that are two to 15 minutes in length to Amazon Studios’ site, where the option process works similarly to movie script submissions. Creators can submit privately or publicly before undergoing a 45-day evaluation period. Creators who score a development order will receive a payment of US$10,000.

The short films are meant to be a new mode for filmmakers to share their vision. Of course, the studio just recently underwent a major pilot submission process in order to find new original children’s TV series. Three children’s shows were commissioned for full development last month and will debut on the service later this year and in 2014.
