SuperAwesome, the UK-based discovery platform for kids and teens, is launching the Kids Mobile Network (KMN), a mobile ad network for children’s premium-content creators.

SuperAwesome’s KMN is positioning itself as an alternative to the in-app purchase revenue model for content creators that may not be comfortable working in that space  – the placement of in-app ads, in short, may be a suitable compromise.

The company already reaches more than eight million kids a month through its existing online ad network (Kids Network), discovery box service (Box of Awesome) and digital properties (Swapit), working with big names in kids entertainment including Hasbro, Warner Bros, Disney and Topps.

Currently, there are 20 companies on KMN generating millions of monthly impressions (both via web browser and in-app on iOS and Android), including several top-20 game developers. Clients and partners are carefully selected and approved by the company’s panel of parents.
