A third season of the hit live-action, sci-fi comedy series Lab Rats has been ordered up by Disney XD with L.A.-based production set for September.

The multi-cam series, created by Chris Peterson and Bryan Moore (That ’70s Show) and produced by It’s A Laugh Productions, is expected to premiere in winter 2014.

Among the show’s stars back on board for the new season are Tyrel Jackson Williams (Leo), Billy Unger (Chase), Spencer Boldman (Adam), and Kelli Berglund (Bree).

So far in 2013, Lab Rats has been Disney XD’s number one series in total viewers (835,000) and achieved top ratings in the kids six to 14, boy six to 14, tween nine to 14 and boy nine to 14 demos.

The series follows the adventures of Leo, an ordinary teenager who happens to have older teen siblings with super-human, bionic powers.
