Disney Junior has started production on a new space-themed preschool series, entitled Miles From Tomorrowland, which will bow in 2015.

Created and executive produced by Henry Hugglemonster scribe Sascha Paladino, the science and technology-based show will debut on global Disney Junior channels and programming blocks. It follows the voyages of seven-year-old adventurer Miles and his family.

The announcement of the series, produced by Wild Canary and Disney Junior, follows a recent study conducted by Touchstone Research and Kid Bunch that found 90% of kids believe STEM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Math) learning subjects are very important today, and only 25% of kids feel they’ve learned a lot about space exploration in school.
