Disney is keeping true to its strategy of producing more short-form web content with the launch of The Coppertop Flop Show, an original video series housed on DisneyChannel.com.
The one- to two-minute shorts starring Calum Worthy, who portrays Austin’s loyal and funny best friend Dez in the Disney Channel series Austin & Ally, will premiere weekly on Friday mornings, followed by a broadcast debut on Disney Channel the following Friday evening. The first two episodes, “King of the Beach” (pictured) and “Food Enthusiast,” are already live.
Derek Baynham and Kelly May are producing, along with Corey Moss at Principato-Young Entertainment.
