Multiplatform US preschool network Sprout has a new VP of marketing in former Turner exec Jennifer Giddens.
Giddens will implement the network’s consumer and trade marketing strategy and make customized campaigns to support current and new series. She will have oversight of Sprout’s growing social media presence across platforms and will also develop the marketing strategy for Sprout’s brand efforts, including the its pro-social campaign Kindness Counts. She will also lead partnership and affiliate marketing for Sprout along with marketing efforts to increase advertising revenues across all network platforms for Sprout and NBC Kids.
Giddens spent the last 10 years with Turner Networks in Atlanta. As a senior director at TNT, Giddens managed cross-departmental, multiplatform brand activations for all scripted series. Additionally, she managed the development of brand implementation for internal studio initiatives including ecommerce, international support and distribution, sampling and new audience development.
Sprout is currently enjoying a streak of 21 consecutive months of ratings growth with women 18 to 49. Sprout offers original series like The Chica Show, which was its highest-rated original series premiere to-date when it launched last November, and Pajanimals, an original co-production with The Jim Henson Company.
