With the literary influence of eBooks mounting in the US, Kindoma Storytime, an app that connects readers with long-distance family members, is growing its catalogue by 100 and its executive team by one with the addition of Carly Shuler as its new co-founder.
Since its launch in March, Kindoma’s flagship app, Kindoma Storytime, has hit the top 100 downloaded educational apps in more than 20 countries including the US & Canada. The app, which combines books and videochat to provide a synchronized reading experience from afar, is now launching its premium catalogue of children’s content that features a library of more than 100 children’s books.
Going forward, the company says it will accelerate the introduction of more content from some of the world’s leading media companies.
Shuler will be facilitating that growth. She brings with her more than 10 years of experience in children’s media and toy industries, having worked with organizations such as Spin Master and The Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop.
Shuler’s former colleague Michael Levine, executive director at the Joan Ganz Cooney Center, serves on the Kindoma advisory board.
