In a move that furthers its media enterprises initiative into kids entertainment, theme park operator Sea World has teamed up with New York’s Little Airplane Productions (3rd & Bird, Small Potatoes) to jointly develop a brand-new animal- and conservation-themed preschool television property.

The yet-to-be-named IP will aim to educate and entertain the preschool set about the natural world and the exploration and care for animals on land and in the sea.

Since launching in 2011, Sea World’s media enterprises initiative, helmed by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment’s CCO Scott Helmstedter, has expanded the 50-year-old brand into movies (Turtle: The Incredible Journey), digital game apps (Turtle Trek), TV series production and a partnership with Nelvana for preschool property Franklin and Friends.
