The Classic Peter Rabbit brand has added two new European licensees to its growing program following deals between Silvergate Media and plush manufacturer Gund and tableware designer Emma Bridgewater.

Gund will produce Peter Rabbit plush, plush keyrings and mohair plush for the UK, Eire/Channel Islands and mainland Europe.  Products will be distributed through high-end retail outlets and are expected to launch in spring 2014.

British designer Emma Bridgewater, meanwhile, has developed a range of ceramic tableware that includes a bowl, plate and child’s mug. This collection is already available online and in store at the four Emma Bridgewater shops in the UK, as well as in more than 200 independent retailers.  A melamine range and additional ceramic designs are due to follow in 2014.  The licence will see the products being distributed in the UK, US, Japan, Australia and Europe.

Classic Peter Rabbit is currently licensed by more than 100 companies, including Wedgwood (china and tableware), Charbonnel & Walker (chocolate), Rainbow Designs (nursery plush and nursery toys), and the brand headlined a clothing range from The Gap.
