Kids in Spain now have another tablet option at their fingertips. The Boing Tablet, a collaboration between Turner CN Enterprises and toy company Famosa, is launching at retail, pre-loaded with eps of Cartoon Network series, as well as apps and games.

Among the popular CN series loaded on the device are Adventure Time, The Amazing Adventures of Gumball and Ben 10, all of which are currently broadcast on Spainish free-to-air commercial kids channel Boing.

The US$220 tablet also contains apps, drawing programs, books and quizzes, and every month kids can download new episodes and apps protected by parental controls. Parents can also keep track of what  their children browse and for how long.

This concept of pre-loading kids devices with branded content is hardly foreign to broadcasters, as Nickelodeon, for one, is in the midst of a multi-year deal with Fuhu for the Android-power Nabi Jr. tablet.
