Taking sibling rivalry to a new level, Nickelodeon’s new live-action comedy series The Thundermans will premiere on Saturday, November 2 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT in the US.

The scripted half-hour series, created and executive-produced by Jed Spingarn (Big Time Rush), follows the everyday adventures of teenagers Phoebe (Kira Kosarin) and Max Thunderman (Jack Griffo), a pair of very different superhero twins who are turbocharged by freeze breath and can harness the power of telekinesis, but must keep their abilities a secret from their friends at school.

Other members of the twins’ family also possess special abilities including super speed, laser beam eyes, extraordinary strength and the ability to fly. The series’ twist is that troublesome Max wants to become a super villain.

Episode one and a special behind-the-scenes video will be available for free on iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Xbox Video, PlayStation Store, Samsung Media Hub and Vudu until November 2.

Nick.com is supporting the series with an online mini-game, Heroes and Villians Unite, as well as additional videos, quizzes, polls and photo galleries. The Thundermans can also be accessed via Facebook and Instagram.

Canadian broadcaster YTV has already picked up the series for its 2013/14 season and Nick’s international channels will debut the series this winter.
