Mia and me coming to Nickelodeon UK

Italy-based animation studio Rainbow has inked a deal to bring Mia and me to Nickelodeon UK for broadcast in the UK and Ireland.

Italy-based animation studio Rainbow has inked a deal to bring girl-targeted  Mia and me to Nickelodeon UK for broadcast in the UK and Ireland.

The live action/CGI series is co-pro between Rainbow, Lucky Punch  and M4e that combines fantasy, adventure and comedy. It follows the adventures of 12-year-old Mia as she juggles her life in the real world with another role in the magical kingdom of Centopia.

The series currently is licensed by more than 70 broadcasters in over 80 territories. A second series, which is due for Fall 2014 release, while the feature film will premier in 2015.

A full range of licensed merchandise will also launch next year in established territories and this will include a toy range from global toy partner Mattel. Other partners include Ravensburger, Egmont, Unilever, Nestle and Panini.
