Toronto, Canada-based kaboom! Entertainment, the kids and family label for Phase 4 Films, has inked a deal with Walmart Stores US for the release of three Christmas-themed feature films.

CG-animated Santa’s Magic Crystal, an 80-minute US$6 million production, Switchmas (1 x 90 minutes, pictured) and A Country Christmas (1 x 91 minutes) will launch at Walmart locations across the US later this month and across VOD and all digital platforms.

Switchmas, a tale of a Christmas-obsessed Jewish boy, and A Country Christmas, a film produced by country music star Kix Brooks, will initially launch as Walmart exclusives.

Santa’s Magic Crystal  follows the adventures of a young orphan who must defeat Santa’s villainous twin brother to make sure holiday presents get delivered on time, while A Country Christmas is a story about two farm kids who embark on a mission to restore Father Christmas’ magical powers.

The latest deal follows on the heels of a kaboom! branded retail deal with Target Canada.
