Disney EMEA has given the greenlight to a new animated short-form preschool series entitled Nina Needs to Go. It’s the latest series to emerge from the House of Mouse’s London-based production hub.
The series is set to premiere on Disney Junior in early 2014 and air in more than 150 countries worldwide. As its title suggests, the show follows four-year-old Nina who often “needs to go” at the most inopportune moments. Among Nina’s close family members is Nana Sheila, who is voiced by BAFTA winner Miriam Margolyes.
Nina is produced by Bristol-based animation studio ArthurCox in conjunction with Disney’s London studio, which has already churned out such series asĀ Henry Hugglemonster. The Disney team is working with ArthurCox to deliver the 10 x 2.5- minute series, developed from an original idea hatched by the studio’s founder, Sarah Cox.
