UK-based Walker Productions and Daredevil Development have collaborated on the first mobile offshoot of Walker and Jam Media’s CBeebies series Tilly and Friends.

The iOS app, which consists of 32 mini games, is based on the series and its source picture books by author Polly Dunbar. It features animation from the 2D preschool series, as well as the talents of Alex Kelly, who voices Tilly in the show. The games within the app are designed to encourage developmental and educational skills through phonetics and numeracy.

Aimed at preeschoolers, the app is now available worldwide for US$2.99.

The partnership between Walker Books and Daredevil was brokered by digital agency Peahen Games. Daredevil has developed apps based on brands like Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom and Bob the Builder. Tilly and Friends marks the company’s debut as a publisher of apps based on children’s book brand.
