DreamWorks Animation’s distribution arm DreamWorks Classics has secured new international free-TV deals for motor racing-themed preschool series Team Franco.

The 52 x 11-minute CG-animated series produced by Formula Fun Entertainment has been snapped up by Russia’s Channel One Carousel, Slovenia’s Pro Plus, Ukraine’s QTV and Kazakhstan TV.

Additional broadcasters currently on-board include TV2 (Norway), MTV Oy (Finland), Al Jazeera Children’s Channel (JCC) and IBC (Iceland).

Formula Fun is also set to roll out a global licensing and merchandising program for the IP six months before Team Franco’s first TV premiere. Beyond TV, Formula Fun expects opportunities for the brand to include home entertainment, publishing, consumer products, digital media, live events and attractions.

Created by Marina Nicholas, the series targets kids ages four to seven and features the global adventures of a six-year-old boy’s imaginary team of race cars. Team Franco helps expose kids to different world cultures and landscapes.
