Disney Channel’s Liv and Maddie to return for a second season

Liv and Maddie, the Disney Channel series that features identical twins Liv and Maddie Rooney (with both roles played by Dove Cameron), will return for a second season. Production will resume in L.A. in March and the season  is scheduled to premiere later this fall.

Liv and Maddie, the Disney Channel series that features identical twins Liv and Maddie Rooney (with both roles played by Dove Cameron), will return for a second season. Production will resume in L.A. in March and the season  is scheduled to premiere later this fall.

Year to-date, the live-action series ranks as TV’s number one telecast in its time period across major youth demos, and in 2013, was the number two series across all TV in kids 2 to 11 (2.1 million/5.4 rating) and number three TV series in kids six to 11 (1.7 million/7.3 rating) and tweens nine to 14 (1.6 million/6.7 rating).

The series follows 16-year-old identical twin sisters Liv (a Hollywood star who has returned home to Wisconsin) and Maddie (a hometown basketball star), as they experience high school, bothersome brothers and each other’s differences.

New eps of Liv and Maddie air  Sundays on Disney Channel. The series is produced by It’s A Laugh Productions.
