PGS to rep new Alpha and Omega movies

Paris-based distributor PGS Entertainment has acquired the international broadcast rights (excluding the US, Canada and the UK) from Burbank, California-based Crest Animation for four new TV movies based on Lionsgate's hit animated feature film Alpha and Omega.

Paris-based distributor PGS Entertainment has acquired the international broadcast rights (excluding the US, Canada and the UK) from Burbank, California-based Crest Animation for four new TV movies based on Lionsgate’s animated feature film Alpha and Omega.

All of the 44-minute, CG-animated movies produced by Lionsgate and Crest Animation Productions will feature seasonal themes with the first release, Alpha and Omega: The Great Wolf Games, timed to the upcoming Winter Olympics in Sochi. The additional releases are Alpha and Omega: The Legend of the Saw-Toothed Cave (Halloween 2014), Alpha and Omega: A Howl-iday Adventure (Christmas 2014) and Alpha and Omega: Family Vacation (Spring 2015).

The Alpha and Omega movie series follows the adventures of a family of wolves – an “alpha” mother wolf, an “omega” father wolf and their three young pups.

Writer Tom Kane is on board for the new TV movies which will be based on characters created by Steve Moore.
