Belgium-based entertainment company Studio 100, which is behind such brands as Maya the Bee and Vic the Viking, has launched a new digital business arm that will be headed up by former BBC Worldwide exec Tom Reding.
As digital director, Reding will establish and lead a team responsible for commercial exploitation and digital marketing. Reding will develop long-term digital strategies for the business across tablets, smartphones, consoles, social media and websites.
Reding was formerly head of digital entertainment & games for BBC Worldwide, and his experience includes working on commercial digital products for brands including BBC Earth, Walking with Dinosaurs, Top Gear, Doctor Who and CBeebies.
