Paris-based animation studio Technicolor has optioned the rights from UK-based Fun Crew to develop and produce new 2D-animated preschool series Cosmo, Bud & Boo.
Launched at this week’s Kidscreen Summit, the original 52 x 11-minute series is a co-development project between Technicolor (Atomic Puppet, Chamelia) and industry vet and creative consultant Debbie MacDonald, a former Nick UK executive who helped commission and acquire popular kids IP including Peppa Pig, Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom, Humf, Poppy Cat and Tickety Tock.
The series for kids ages four to seven follows the fun adventures of three bears, but one of the bears is a boy in a bear suit.
Fun Crew was co-founded in 2006 by content creator and creative producer Angela Salt and character designer Stuart Harrison.
