Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific picks up The Fixies

In a pan-regional deal, Italy-based transmedia company Atlantyca Entertainment has sold 104 x six-minute comedy series The Fixies from Moscow's Aeroplane Productions to Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific.

In a pan-regional deal, Italy-based transmedia company Atlantyca Entertainment has sold 104 x six-minute comedy series The Fixies from Moscow’s Aeroplane Productions to Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific.

The CG- and Flash-animated series will air on Discover Kids across Asian countries including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

The Fixies follows the misadventures of eight-year-old Tom Thomas who befriends two characters named Simka and Nolik – the children of the tiny Fixie family who secretly live in his apartment and are skilled fixers of machines and gadgets.

The series has currently been sold in more than 70 countries worldwide to broadcasters including Minimax (Eastern Europe), Canal Panda (Portugal) and D-Smart (Turkey).

The IP has also found success online with its Russian-language YouTube Channel which has generated more than 700,000 subscribers and 570 million views.
