The Hunger Games, Iron Man 3 and breakout series Sam & Cat are among this year’s nominees for the 27th annual Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, which will be seen in more than 375 million households when the live event airs on March 29.
Kids are now able to cast their votes in 22 categories, including the newly introduced favorite funny star, favorite animated animal sidekick and most enthusiastic athlete, across all of Nickelodeon’s digital outlets, which include Nick.com desktops and mobile devices and the Nick app on iOS, Kindle, and Android. Users will also be able to vote on Nickelodeon’s Twitter feed using custom KCA hashtags.
Within hours of airing live in the US and Canada, the Mark Wahlberg-hosted show will roll out internationally, and in many markets the awards will feature country-specific award categories and nominees, such as Sveriges Favoritstjärna (Favorite Swedish Star) and Migliore Cantante Italiano (Favorite Italian Singer).
