Following the success of its animated products in Latin America, Argentina-based Grupo Clarin subsidiary Transmedia Projects has announced that animated IP from its new business unit QB9 Entertainment will become available to the Hispanic market in the US.

QB9 has also secured new distribution deals in European markets including Italy, France and Spain, as well as emerging markets such as India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and the Maldives.

With the new growth strategy, QB9 expects to see one its most popular kids properties, Gaturro, move into new international territories.

The comic strip-based multiplatform IP has become one of the most successful children’s properties in Latin America reaching nearly 10 million kids through its virtual world www.mundogaturro.com alone. Gaturro has also been made into an animated TV series that’s just begun airing on Cartoon Network Latin America.
