Veria Living puts Yogapalooza brand in Andrew Berman’s hands

Industry vet and former FremantleMedia children’s exec Andrew Berman is focusing his attention on youth health and wellness after being tapped by New York-based Veria Living Worldwide to handle global sales for the young Yogapalooza brand.

The original health and wellness series, designed to help battle childhood obesity, was produced by Veria Living Studios and marks the lifestyle and wellness company’s first foray into the children’s space.

The 52 x 30-minute series, which will make its official debut at next week’s MIPTV market in Cannes, is hosted by songwriter and yoga teacher Bari Koral, who inspires the grade-school set to get moving through playful yoga moves.

Berman has been involved with kids’ programming for nearly 25 years. He most recently launched and oversaw the global distribution of the children’s and family entertainment unit for FremantleMedia, where he was also instrumental in the launch of preschool show Tree Fu Tom. He’s also worked in the genre at such companies as TMS Entertainment and IDT Entertainment (now known as Starz Media).  While at FremantleMedia he a children’s series about the amazing adventures of a young boy with the power of movement magic.
