CPL to rep DreamWorks Animation in Brazil

Peruvian-based agency Compania Panamericana de Licencias (CPL) has been named DreamWorks Animation's licensing agent for Brazil.

Peruvian-based agency Compañía Panamericana de Licencias (CPL) has been named DreamWorks Animation’s licensing agent for Brazil.

The partnership further expands CPL’s existing relationship with DreamWorks in Latin America which covers Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela and Mexico.

Herbert Greco, a 25-year industry veteran who previously held executive roles in licensing in the region for both the Walt Disney Company and Warner Bros. Consumer Products, will head up CPL’s first-ever business team in Brazil.

A staff of 15 professionals in licensing, retail sales and marketing will look for L&M opportunities around DreamWorks’ franchise properties including Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, Puss in Boots, and The Croods.

CPL’s representation across most of South and Central America encompasses cartoons, animated series, movies, live TV series, artists, and singers.

The company holds existing partnerships with the likes of Cartoon Network, IMPS, Nerdcorps, Sony Pictures, Televisa, Twentieth Century Fox, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, and 41 Entertainment.
