Canadian kids producer DHX Media is expanding its European third-party licensing business CPLG to North America with a new office in Los Angeles.

Ted Larkins will lead the Los Angeles office, and he will take on the position of SVP and GM of CPLG North America. Larkins will report to CPLG CEO Peter Byrnes.

CPLG North America will be the licensing agent for DHX Media’s entertainment brands, including Caillou, Yo Gabba Gabba!, Ella the Elephant and newly acquired Degrassi.

The company will also represent brand and sporting rights for The Michelangelo Collection, the Space Invaders brand and St Andrews Links. The US office will act as a full-service agency and offer licensing, sales, retail development, product approvals, legal and finance services.
