Epic Rights boosts licensing efforts with kids entertainment pros

Kids licensing vets Juli Boylan (pictured) and Lisa Streff  are making a move into the world of celebrities and music as they set out to lead the charge at L.A.-based Epic Rights’ newly established global licensing and merchandising division.

Boylan has joined the entertainment licensing company as EVP of global strategic partnerships and licensing, while Streff is now SVP of licensing.

Focusing on the marriage of celebrities and brands, Boylan will direct Epic Rights’ global strategy for developing licensing prospects in international markets.

Her previous roles include a 14-year stint at Sony Consumer Products, where she most recently served as SVP of global licensing and was charged with oversight of global operations and profitability of all Sony Pictures film and television properties, including the Spider-Man film franchise and The Smurfs. She joined Vancouver, Canada-based Nerd Corps in 2012 to lead its consumer products activities.

Streff  began her career at NBC Universal, where she served as director of licensing, working for over eight years on a number of brands such as Jurassic Park, The Land Before Time, Cat in the Hat, The Grinch and Curious George.

Since then, Streff has held several senior management positions, including SVP of consumer products at Cookie Jar Entertainment, where she spearheaded the licensing and merchandising programs for Strawberry Shortcake, Mommy & Me, Richard Scarry, Lucha Libre, and its library of properties.

Current properties on the Epic Rights roster include Kiss, Madonna, Aerosmith and Barbara Streisand.
