Melbourne, Australia is the new home of Entertainment One Licensing’s latest expansion effort, as the company is set to open a new dedicated office with Con Goutzoulas and Trish Padoin at the helm.
The Australian operation will look to maximize the commercial potential of eOne’s preschool television properties Peppa Pig, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom and Humf, in addition to its teen lifestyle brands SO SO Happy and Skelanimals.
In their new roles as commercial directors, Goutzoulas and Padoin will manage the consumer products program for Peppa Pig, which is currently one of the leading preschool brands in Australia with more than 50 licensees. As joint directors, both will be oversee all facets of the Australian licensing business, with Goutzoulas managing licensing, sales and finance and Padoin heading up retail, marketing and product development.
Goutzoulas hails from Haven Licensing, where he managed the Nickelodeon, MTV and Comedy Central portfolios. Padoin previously worked at Mattel, where she was responsible for launching Fisher-Price and Hot Wheels consumer products.
Goutzoulas and Padoin both held roles at Merchantwise, which, up until now, was the licensing agent for Peppa Pig in Australia. The duo will assume control from Merchantwise over the next two months, and they will also work closely with the team in the UK to execute an integrated marketing strategy.
