Saban Brands Israel (SBI) has been appointed the consumer products licensing agent for DreamWorks Animation’s feature film and TV properties in the areas of merchandise, retail and publishing.

The properties that will be represented by SBI include the theatrical release of How to Train Your Dragon 2 this summer, ongoing TV series Penguins of Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness and Dragons: Riders of Berk and DreamWorks Animation’s franchise properties of Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar, How to Train Your Dragon and Puss in Boots.

The agreement comes as DreamWorks continues to increase its brand presence both in Israel and on a global scale. Last month, the company named Peruvian-based agency Compañía Panamericana de Licencias (CPL) as its licensing agent for Brazil and earlier this year Germany’s Super RTL expanded its relationship with DreamWorks to include merchandising rights for the company’s IP.
