Paris-based indie producer and distributor Cyber Group Studios has secured a new broadcasting deal with Sweden’s SVT for its 78 x seven-minute animated kids and family series Nina Patalo.

The deal, made post-MIPTV, will see the series head to SVT’s dedicated kids channel Barnkanalen at the end of the year, further expanding the show’s reach across Northern Europe where it currently airs on Finland’s YLE FST, Iceland’s RUV, Belgium’s VRT and Poland’s Canal Plus.

Denmark’s DR is also expected to air the series for fall 2014 bringing the total number of international broadcasters on board to 15 across Europe, the US and Asia.

Nina Patalo is based on popular comic book albums by author Lisa Mandel that follow the adventures of a curious little girl with a hyperactive imagination and her three friends—Andy the duck, a defrosted caveman named Walter, and Patalo, a Polymorpho who can change himself into anything ending with the letter “o.”

Cyber Group produces the series in France for France 3 and Canal J, with its partners Je Suis Bien Content and Caribara.
