Toronto, Canada-based content creator marblemedia is expanding its development initiatives with the promotion of Miklos Perlus to VP of its Kids and Family division.
In the newly created role, Perlus will continue to focus on the development of marblemedia’s family content as the company looks to expand both domestic series and international co-productions. Perlus is currently responsible for creating, sourcing and developing multiplatform content for television and digital media, and over his six years with the company, he’s led such series as Japanizi: Going, Going, Gong!, Splatalot and Hi Opie! with The Jim Henson Company.
In other development news, marblemedia has appointed former Momentum Entertainment Group development executive Roberto Alcantara to the newly created role of VP, Primetime Scripted Development as the company looks to beef up its scripted series slate.
Both Perlus and Alcantara will be joining marblemedia at next month’s Banff World Media Festival.
