Netflix will be the exclusive home of all new episodes of the animated series DreamWorks Dragons, starting with its third season in spring 2015. It will be available to Netflix members in all territories, including newcomers France and Germany.

The first two seasons of DreamWorks Dragons aired on the Cartoon Network.

The series expands on DreamWorks Animation’s movie franchise How to Train Your Dragon, bridging the gap, story-wise, between the first film, released in 2010, and its sequel, How to Train Your Dragon 2, which hits theaters on June 13. There have also been a series of How to Train Your Dragon short films released on DVD and blu ray.

Voice talents Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and T.J. Miller will reprise their film roles in the series.

The new season of Dragons is part of  the historic Netflix deal for 300 hours of DWA programming, but the streaming service has been significantly bolstering its kids programming. On Tuesday, the company revealed it will have the first pay-TV window to Sony Pictures Animation content in the US.
