Children’s publishing giant Scholastic has appointed Stacy Lellos as SVP and GM of Klutz, the publisher’s kids activity division.

In her new role, Lellos will assemble a creative team and be responsible for all aspects of the Klutz brand and publishing program.

She returns to Scholastic from a 2013 position at Toys ‘R’ Us as the toyco’s VP of marketing. Prior to that, Lellos held increasingly senior positions at Scholastic in the marketing and publishing divisions.

First joining Scholastic in 2000, she soon became the director of brand management and retail marketing. From 2000 to 2006, she led the strategic direction for the management and marketing of the Harry Potter series and cross-divisional promotions for other large franchises.

Most recently, Lellos was VP of marketing and multi-platform publishing for Scholastic’s Trade division. Lellos also led the digital development team, increasing brand engagement through social media, apps, mobile games and creative marketing.

Currently, more than 175 Klutz products are sold in book, toy and gift stores worldwide.
