The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are marking 30 years of ninjutsu crime fighting this year – and now the anthropomorphic turtles are celebrating their return to Nickelodeon in a fourth season of the CG-animated series that will span 20 new episodes.
The show, which ranked as one of the top five animated series for first quarter of this year across all of television, will debut its third season this fall starring Seth Green (Robot Chicken) will join the voice cast as Leonardo alongside Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings) as Raphael, Rob Paulsen (Planet Sheen) as Donatello and Greg Cipes (Teen Titans) as Michelangelo.
Season three will follow the August 8 release of Paramount Pictures’ live-action feature film, aptly dubbed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
On top of a product line from Jakks Pacific that will follow the film into the fall, Nickelodeon has now revealed additional details surrounding its product lineup inspired by the film that will be available this summer through the holiday season.
Target will serve as the official destination for exclusive movie toys beginning July 13 in-store and July 20 on Target.com. Other Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie-related products will be available in all major retailers from mass to specialty.Joining previously announced master global toy licensee Playmates Toys and global construction partner LEGO are more than 100 new products across categories including publishing, home décor, apparel, jewelry and accessories. Confirmed partners include Activision Publishing, Insight Editions, Paramount Home Entertainment, Rubie’s Costume Co. and Zack Designs.
