Two months after officially launching, tween-oriented video social network Viddiverse has signed on two new talents from YouTube. Coming on-board are fashion and style mavens Brittany Balyn and Kimberly Bond.
To get the two stars, Viddiverse struck a distribution deal with Santa Monica, California-based Haul Studios. The deal also includes Balyn and Bond’s back-catalog of videos, giving Viddiverse hundreds of tutorials for tween girls on makeup, styling and fashion.
At the same time, the video-driven social network also announced a deal with New York-based Driver Digital, to bring YouTube’s Dream Mining and hit show The Rundown to Viddiverse.
Viddiverse targets tweens ages eight to 13. It lets them watch age-appropriate videos in a COPPA-compliant environment. The network launched in beta earlier this year and went live in May.
The kids series now featured on the site include Totally Amp’d, Unlikely Heroes, Skatoony, Being Ian, Donkey Kong Country, Pelwick, Braceface, Grossology, Ned’s Newt, Ruby Gloom, Wild C.A.T.S., Dog City/QPiz, Class of Titans, Janet’s Planet, Dani’s House, Summer in Transylvania and Tricky TV.
