New York-based startup batteryPOP, a cross platform network of free short-form content for kids aged six to 11, added John Nolie as its VP of Digital Ad Sales and Business Development.

A New York native himself, Nolie comes to batteryPOP after being VP of Digital Ad Sales with Saban Brands for almost two years. There, he worked with several key franchises, including Power Rangers, Digimon and Paul Frank.

Launched in November by former Nickelodeon veterans Greg Alkalay and Taso Mastorakis, batteryPOP’s library includes original series (Chew On ThatWhat’s Poppin’), acquired shows (Cody the Dinosaur, ANTS) and branded content. Nolie will lead an initiative to expand the network’s content as well as secure strategic partnerships with youth entertainment brands.
