Distributor Zodiak Kids has inked a new agreement with MBC3 that sees the free-TV children’s edutainment channel in the Middle East snap up 150 hours of programming including hit series Extreme Football and Totally Spies.

The deal, Zodiak Kids’ third in the territory this year, encompasses programs from Zodiak Media’s French studio Marathon Media such as Officially Amazing (26 x half-hours), The Amazing Spiez (52 x 26 minutes), Totally Spies – The Movie (1 x 75 minutes), Martin Mystery (62 x 26 minutes) and the aforementioned Extreme Football (39 x 26 minutes) and Totally Spies (156 x 26 minutes).

All of the programs will broadcast on MBC3 in English and Arabic across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The deal further strengthens Zodiak’s existing relationship with MBC3 which recently saw the channel pick up hit series Tickety Toc and come on board as a licensing agent for the preschool brand.

MBC3, one of 14 channels owned by Dubai-based MBC Group, now carries more than 170 hours of programming from the Zodiak Kids’ catalogue.
