Nurture Rights, the kids entertainment company created last year by industry vets Peter Curtis and Nick Barrington, is bringing the hit literary property Dinosaur Roar! to magazine form.

Nurture Rights has inked a deal with Egmont Magazines to turn the classic picture book into a new dino-themed mag for young readers.

The Natural History Museum in London, England will assist in the production of the magazine, with the museum’s head of Paleontology approving all content. In addition, all marketing will be co-branded in association with museum. Egmont is currently working with both Nurture Rights and the museum to bring the dino magazine out in 2015.

The content will include age appropriate facts, stories and activities to inspire young dinosaur fans, targeting kids ages two to five.

Egmont Magazines joins a growing list of licensees on Dinosaur Roar!, including Penguin Random House, Immediate Media, Paul Lamond Games, Trademark Collections and Shreds.

The original picture book, created by Paul and Henrietta Stickland, was first published in 1994 by Ragged Bears Publishing. Since then, the preschool property has sold over 5 million books worldwide.

Along with a literary extension, Nurture Rights is also extending the property into live formats. The company recently signed a deal with the Birmingham Stage Company to turn Dinosaur Roar! into a live theatre show, set to tour next year.
