David’s competition just got tougher. Goliath Games acquired Pressman Toy Corporation to create one of North America’s largest toy and game companies.
Founded in Netherlands in 1980, Goliath has created hit games ranging Pop the Pig to Doggie Doo. The game manufacturer now sells products in more than 75 countries and has expanded to include offices in France, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Poland, Hong Kong, Australia, Canada and the US.
Pressman Toys, meanwhile, was founded in 1922 and has grown into one of America’s largest toy manufacturers with games including Mastermind, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and Let’s Go Fishin’. More recently, the company has created games and puzzles based on Skylanders, How to Train Your Dragon 2 and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
The two companies will continue to operate as separate entities, with Pressman developing its own products, but employing Goliath’s R&D, purchasing and TV campaigns internationally.
Jim Pressman will continue to serve as president of Pressman Toys and oversee licensing for both companies globally. David Norman will stay on as president of Goliath Games.
