In response to growing international consumer products sales, The Jim Henson Company has upped Richard Goldsmith (pictured) to EVP of global distribution and international consumer products. In his broadened role, Goldsmith will oversee sales, marketing and technical operations for media and CP partners worldwide.

Joining Goldsmith is Francesca Stobbe, Henson’s newly appointed executive director of international consumer products. A 10-year Disney vetertan, she held positions as sales director, licensing analyst and consumer products manager for marketing promotions and digital sales strategies during her tenure at the House of Mouse.

Together, Goldsmith and Stobbe will represent Henson at Brand Licensing Europe next month. With the company exhibiting for the first time at BLE, it’s focusing on preschool properties Dinosaur Train and Doozers, as well as discussing potential partnerships for the series PAJANIMALS and Sid the Science Kid.

Goldsmith also continues to oversee production financing, securing co-production partners, the acquisition and distribution of third-party content under Henson Independent Properties umbrella, and VOD channel Jim Henson Family TV,  which is available on YouTube, Roku, XBox and Amazon Fire.

Previously an exec with Warner Bros. Entertainment, Goldsmith joined Henson three years ago as EVP of global distribution, working across all media platforms including TV, home entertainment and all digital platforms.
