Cape Town, South Africa-based Triggerfish Animation is bringing aboard longtime Aardman Animations exec Arthur Sheriff as an advisor.
Sheriff will be leaving his position as Aardman’s head of communications, a post he held for 25 years. Having taken on Aardman when the company was just starting out, Sheriff has since been an influential member of the team behind hit properties Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep.
Already a ‘non-official’ consult for Triggerfish, Sheriff is now officially stepping into the role.
The studio is currently working with UK-based Magic Light Pictures on the animated adaptation of bestselling children’s book Stick Man, from author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler, whose other titles include Room on the Broom and The Gruffalo.
