In a move that appeals to cross-generation audiences, Splash Entertainment’s free VOD network Kabillion is bringing 1950s clay icon Gumby to its VOD platform and YouTube channel.

The kids network has inked a deal with Gumby creators Premavision and Clokey Productions for the classic series, which will start airing on Kabillion next month.

Gumby was created by Art Clokey in the early ’50s. Focusing on the adventures of the green, super-flexible character, the stop-motion series teaches kids how to distinguish right from wrong. More than 208 episodes were produced and it has aired in 146 countries.

Most recently, the show had broadcast deals with Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Netflix and satellite TV. The clay character has a roster of merchandise, including comics, toys, and a 1990s resurgence in popularity that saw the creation of a video game from Namco and a film from Warner Vision.
