Netflix Canada will have to wait until Justin Time returns to Disney Junior in 2016 before it can stream the latest season of the preschool series from Guru Studio.

On Monday, Disney Junior ordered a third season of Justin Time to air exclusively on its Canadian English- and French-language channels in 2016.

After the first two seasons of Justin Time performed well for Netflix, the US streamer ordered a spin-off series, Justin Time: The New Adventures, for its worldwide subscribers.

Netflix confirmed to Kidscreen‘s sister pub Playback Daily that the US streamer will debut the third season of Justin Time on a first-run basis in all territories where it operates outside of Canada.

Although Justin Time: The New Adventures was first announced as a “new, original spin-off series,” a Disney Junior spokesperson confirmed to Playback Daily that The New Adventures is synonymous with Justin Time‘s third season.

Production on the animated series’ latest season, comprising 13 half-hours, starts next month.

Justin Time was created and developed by Brandon James Scott, Frank Falcone and Mary Bredin at Guru Studio.

The third season will be voiced in part by Gage Munroe as Justin, Jenna Warren as Olive and Scott McCord as Squidgy.
