New York-based financial advisory firm Gapstone LLC has put out a call for expressions of interest in buying the rights to Porchlight Entertainment’s animated series Jay Jay The Jet Plane and Tutenstein.

Preschool series Jay Jay The Jet Plane was broadcast on PBS stations in the US starting in 2001. With distribution and licensing agreements spanning 50 countries, the brand grew to include more than 30 licensees in the US alone.

Half-hour animated series Tutenstein was co-produced by Porchlight and Discovery Entertainment for Discovery Kids. It was broadcast on the now-defunct US channel starting in 2003, and also aired on NBC’s Saturday morning schedule and 50 networks worldwide. The series spawned a feature-length film, as well as an extensive L&M program.

For both properties, the sale of all respective rights, titles and interest is being made pursuant to a credit agreement with Porchlight Worldwide and its affiliated entities (Porchlight Entertainment, Porchlight Distribution, Genmouse, Holidaylight Productions, Tutenstein Productions and Jay Jay The Plane Productions).

Gapstone has been engaged to conduct and complete the sale. Interested parties can send an email to Gapstone LLC (porchlightsale@gapstone.com) to receive an invitation for expressions of interest, describing the circumstances underlying the sale/sales process, and info regarding access to the data room to review the titles and elements, commercialization history and agreements, and other related information.
